Role Overview
As a Trade Specialist based in Whangarei, you will act as a local expert providing specialized knowledge across passenger, commercial, and industrial parts supply. Your expertise will support the local market by delivering outstanding service and technical assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer expert technical advice and support to trade customers using automotive parts and mechanical knowledge.
- Develop and maintain strong, effective relationships with customers.
- Exhibit excellent salesmanship and problem-solving skills using the latest product knowledge.
- Commit to delivering genuine service that creates memorable customer experiences.
- Manage a demanding phone customer contact role with professionalism and efficiency.
- Maintain a high standard of safety awareness to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and climbing as part of the daily work routine.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in automotive parts or mechanical roles.
- Strong passion for customer service combined with some sales experience.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Natural problem-solver with a solutions-oriented mindset and competent computer skills.
- Proactive, driven, and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Flexible availability to work on other days as needed.
- Committed to contributing to a culture of safety, prioritizing the wellbeing of all team members.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week, with scheduled half-day Saturdays as required.
