Role Overview

The selected individual will undertake management of goods and products within the warehouse environment, encompassing tasks such as picking, packing, loading, and unloading deliveries. Additionally, the role demands making deliveries to customer and site addresses as necessary. A key responsibility is to offer expert knowledge on electrical products and ensure outstanding customer service to both internal teams and external clients.

Main Duties

• Handle sales queries via phone or directly over the counter, providing advice, information, price quotations, and working to maximize sales and profit margins.
• Promote alternative options, propose higher-value products where appropriate, advocate for in-house brands, and encourage cross-brand sales.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, branch expenses, and performance targets.
• Process and prepare customer orders efficiently.
• Perform general warehouse operations including receipt and dispatch of goods.
• Engage in varied business activities on-site and undertake any additional responsibilities as required.

Required Experience and Skills

• Prior experience with electrical wholesale and familiarity with electrical products is beneficial.
• Proven background operating in busy warehouse environments.
• Exceptional communication abilities for professional and courteous interaction both in person and over telephone.
• Strong organizational and time management skill set to plan workload, adhere to deadlines, and handle concurrent tasks effectively.
• A team player with good interpersonal capabilities, committed to supporting colleagues and fostering a positive workplace atmosphere.
• High accuracy and attention to detail with ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-moving setting.
• Competence with IT systems, including email and typical business applications such as order processing and stock management.
• Holder of a full, clean Irish driving license and readiness to conduct deliveries when necessary.
• Possession of a forklift license and experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) is advantageous.
