Role Overview

Join TikTok Shop US Operations to help shape how people discover and purchase through content and creators. The team brings commerce, entertainment, and community together in a single shopping experience, and works in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where ownership, speed, and innovation matter.

This opening is for an experienced Category Lead to oversee one of the fastest-growing categories in the US market: Collectibles. The role focuses on scaling category performance, building merchant relationships, improving commercial outcomes, and leading a team that supports merchant acquisition, growth, and category operations.

What You'll Do

Lead, coach, and grow a team of Category Managers handling merchant acquisition, merchant expansion, and category operations.
Set the end-to-end growth plan for the category and identify opportunities that can unlock durable GMV growth.
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with brands, distributors, merchants, and other partners across the ecosystem.
Work with merchants to create tailored growth plans using content, creators, affiliate programs, merchandising tools, and other TikTok Shop solutions.
Review business performance, spot growth levers, and convert insights into practical action plans.
Partner with Product, Marketing, Operations, Strategy, Logistics, and other teams to resolve complex issues and improve the merchant experience.
Represent TikTok Shop in external industry conversations and help build long-term category partnerships.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate brings substantial experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, category management, merchant operations, commercial strategy, business development, consulting, or a related field. You should have a track record of leading teams, developing talent, and driving measurable growth through category expansion, merchant acquisition, or strong commercial execution.

Strong analytical judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to make decisions based on data are essential, along with excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Background

Prior experience in marketplace platforms, social commerce, or content-led e-commerce is a plus. It is also helpful to have managed a business category or P&L, worked directly with merchants, brands, or distributors, or operated in a high-growth, fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting. Familiarity with collectibles or similar consumer categories is preferred but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

The stated annual base pay range for this role in the selected city is USD 151,050 to USD 273,600. Total compensation may differ depending on skills, experience, qualifications, competencies, and location. In addition to base pay, the role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits can vary by employment type and location, but day-one coverage includes medical, dental, and vision insurance. Other benefits include a 401(k) plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year, and 17 days of paid personal time, prorated at hire and increasing with tenure.
