Job Overview
This role focuses on leading and implementing the Therapy Area Medical Strategy aligned with both global and regional goals. The successful candidate will translate overarching strategies into detailed operational plans for specific countries or clusters, ensuring readiness for product launches, lifecycle management, and patient access.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the Therapy Area Medical Strategy consistent with global and regional frameworks.
- Create and implement operational medical plans at the country or cluster level.
- Provide leadership to the Therapy Area Medical team, including Medical Leads and Medical Science Liaisons.
- Facilitate alignment with commercial, regulatory, and access teams to ensure cohesive strategy execution.
- Uphold strong medical and scientific credibility within the organization.
- Manage medical information dissemination, evidence generation, and working with stakeholders in scientific exchanges.
- Ensure adherence to pharmacovigilance and regulatory compliance standards.
- Supply medical insights to influence clinical practice and healthcare policies.
- Oversee various clinical research activities, including Phase I–IV clinical trials, investigator-initiated studies, and non-interventional studies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Doctorate degree (MD, MBBS, PharmD, or PhD) in Life Sciences; an MBA qualification is advantageous.
- More than ten years of experience within the Medical Affairs sector of the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience working with specialty pharmaceutical products.
- Knowledgeable about the healthcare environment in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record managing and inspiring diverse teams.
