Territory Manager - Wellington East and Hawkes Bay

Role Overview

The Clorox Company seeks a Territory Manager to oversee the Wellington Central and East, Wairarapa to Hawkes Bay region. The focus is to meet national sales targets by effectively managing customer visits across Retail Grocery, Foodservice/Commercial distributors, wholesalers, as well as selected Convenience and Hardware stores. The role involves planning and executing promotional activities designed by the Regional Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive territory sales to achieve annual business goals.
• Implement in-store display objectives adhering to retailer head office and Clorox guidelines.
• Execute the Annual Plan and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each product category.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with customers at the store level, aligning their priorities with company strategies.
• Meet product distribution targets aligned with national directives and introduce new product developments to customers.
• Ensure proper shelving and distribution of all head office approved products, seeking further distribution opportunities.
• Apply account shelf plans as required.
• Deploy seasonal and new product visual displays.
• Identify new customer prospects within the territory using available resources to maximize sales growth.
• Complete required administrative tasks promptly and accurately.
• Adhere strictly to the Clorox Code of Conduct.
• Report on store and trade activities including market trends, competitor movements, product performance, and pricing information.

Experience and Skills Required

• At least 2 years of experience as a Territory Manager, ideally 4 years or more within the Grocery Channel.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Proven interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
• Self-motivated with strong discipline and confidence.
• Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
• Customer-focused with a results-oriented mindset.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
