Role Overview
Colgate-Palmolive is seeking a Territory Business Lead for its Professional Oral Care team in Jaipur, Rajasthan. This role carries end-to-end responsibility for territory performance and combines team leadership, field execution, and relationship management with dental professionals and stockists.

What the Role Involves
You will lead frontline field professionals, guide them through coaching and mentoring, and ensure the team delivers key execution outcomes such as dentist reach, chemist availability, and in-clinic conversion. A major part of the role is also to personally manage important dental professionals and stockists to strengthen business loyalty and brand advocacy.
The position requires strong ownership of territory results, including revenue, professional recommendation metrics, and growth planning. You will also use data, reporting tools, and market insights to improve execution and support demand generation across pharmacies and dental channels.
Team Leadership and Coaching
- Supervise, motivate, and support a frontline team working on third-party payroll.
- Run regular in-clinic mentoring sessions to build capability, product understanding, and sales effectiveness.
- Set performance goals and ensure territory plans are implemented successfully.
Relationship and Business Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with selected dental professionals to build trust, loyalty, and advocacy.
- Work closely with stockists and dental dealers to improve product availability and strengthen the supply network.
- Take full responsibility for territory sales performance, recommendation outcomes, and overall business growth.
- Use route planning, resource management, and digital reporting discipline to improve operational efficiency.
- Study company, channel, and category data to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities, then convert findings into action plans.
- Support demand generation activities for therapeutic products across pharmacies and dental channels.
Brand Execution and Reporting
- Serve as a key source of oral health knowledge for the team and important accounts.
- Ensure professional marketing plans and brand support initiatives are executed effectively in the field.
- Represent Colgate at dental conventions and related activities, while coordinating team participation.
- Prepare regular updates for senior leadership covering territory status, team output, and business priorities.
- Follow company policies, standards, and operating requirements at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor's degree in Science, Pharmacy, Health Science, Marketing, or Business Administration. A minimum of 7 years of experience in medical detailing, sales, or territory management is required, with preference for candidates from dental, oral care, healthcare, or pharmaceutical sales backgrounds.
Prior experience in leading, coaching, or mentoring sales teams is important, and exposure to third-party teams will be considered an advantage. Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are essential, along with the ability to build strategic business relationships. Intermediate English proficiency is needed.
Preferred Experience
Additional value will be given to candidates who are comfortable with Office or Google tools, have 2 to 3 years of experience as an Area Sales Manager in a related industry, have worked with CRM systems such as C4C-SAP Marketing Cloud, or have handled stomatological or dental business operations.
