Role Overview
We are searching for a knowledgeable and energetic Technology Support Engineer to lead concert technology services within our arena. This role involves managing and deploying concert-related equipment, supporting game day operations particularly in scoring engineering, and providing tier 1 IT support involving audio, broadcast, and signage systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage concert technology equipment setups and serve as the principal contact for concert-related tech requirements.
- Deploy and maintain communications infrastructure, assisted listening devices, and fulfill signage requests.
- Deliver helpdesk support covering audio, broadcast, signage, and equipment installations or relocations such as TVs, printers, and computers.
- Perform cable maintenance, audio mixing for small-scale events, and assist broadcast and network teams with programming, patching, video, and audio routing tasks.
- Operate as a scoring engineer during basketball games when assigned.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- A proactive approach to learning and willingness to nurture personal growth.
- Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting heavy equipment and working in varied positions.
- Experience with audio and video production techniques.
- Knowledge of basketball scoring technology, specifically Tissot and Daktronics systems.
- Background in helpdesk support environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills in dynamic and high-pressure situations.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours.
- Skill in terminating different cable types such as XLR and Ethernet.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience either in live event production (arena, broadcast, or live sports context) or helpdesk roles.
