About the Role
The Ministry of Justice in New Zealand is seeking a permanent full-time Team Leader to join the Auckland High Court. This leadership position involves managing a team focused on delivering efficient and timely justice services, overseeing both criminal and civil case workflows within the court.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily work priorities and allocate resources effectively to maintain smooth case management in the High Court.
- Lead, coach, and develop court staff to achieve high performance standards.
- Manage staff performance through appraisals and reviews.
- Provide and facilitate relevant training to team members.
- Collect and analyze operational statistics.
- Exercise statutory powers as required in the role.
- Manage registry resources and staff efficiently.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Proven experience in leading, managing, and coaching teams for superior outcomes.
- Strong customer-focused approach.
- Knowledge of or keen interest in the justice sector.
- A relevant tertiary degree or equivalent professional experience.

Salary Details
The salary range for this position is between NZD 74,634 and 95,591 annually. The final salary will depend on the candidate’s expertise and experience, with potential to offer salaries at the higher end of the band to attract exceptional candidates.
