About the Role
This position based at Swansea Crown Court, SA1 4PF, plays a vital leadership role within HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS). As a Team Leader, you will be pivotal in ensuring your team achieves business goals by delivering exceptional administrative support and customer service to service users, judiciary, and management. The role includes acting as a case progression officer, aiding Listing Officers and team members to ensure hearings are fully prepared, and daily liaison with judiciary, prosecution, defense, and other stakeholders.

HMCTS administers criminal, civil, and family courts and tribunals across England and Wales, including reserved unified tribunals throughout the UK. It supports individuals and businesses by facilitating access to justice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop team members, building their skills, confidence, and experience to thrive in their roles.
- Organise, prioritise, allocate, and manage work to consistently deliver excellent service.
- Establish and sustain trusted relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including judiciary.
- Handle challenging and difficult situations professionally and resolve issues swiftly.
- Use data analysis skills to make informed decisions that improve and maintain team performance.
- Effectively utilize IT and learn new systems as required.
Additional Role Information
- Training provided includes Fire and Incident Control Officer (FICO) and Senior Person on Site (SPOS) qualifications.
- You will be part of a motivated and experienced team committed to delivering justice.
- The role is customer-facing and requires full-time office presence.
- Standard working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Part-time, flexible, and job-sharing arrangements can be considered if aligned with business needs and agreed beforehand.
