The position of Team Lead, Network & Voice involves leading a team of network engineers and specialists to design, implement, and sustain a resilient, high-performing network infrastructure. This role blends technical knowledge, leadership, and project management skills to deliver superior network solutions aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate a positive and collaborative team culture while encouraging professional development.
- Collaborate on designing and architecting network solutions spanning LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud environments.
- Ensure network designs adhere to business requirements and industry best practices.
- Provide technical mentorship and oversight through the design, configuration, and deployment phases.
- Review and authorize network designs and configurations.
- Manage deployment, setup, and upkeep of network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless controllers.
- Lead network projects, including planning, resource allocation, and timely delivery within scope.
- Optimize network performance by analyzing traffic, applying Quality of Service methods, and adjusting configurations.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams including system administrators, security experts, developers, and business stakeholders.
- Ensure clear communication for smooth project execution and knowledge sharing.
- Define and enforce technical standards, best practices, and governance policies for network engineering.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations and security policies.
- Promote continuous learning and innovation within the team.
- Manage relationships with equipment vendors, service providers, and technology partners, including contract negotiations.
- Implement security controls, access management, and monitoring to safeguard network solutions.
- Plan network capacity and scalability to support business growth and evolving technical demands.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related area.
- Certifications in network administration (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud, Amazon) are desirable.
- Additional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or Juniper JNCIA are advantageous.
- Advanced certifications like Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIE, or equivalents are preferred.
- Significant hands-on experience in network engineering, including design, implementation, and leadership roles.
- Practical knowledge of network security and experience with WAN and LAN environments.
- Expertise in wireless protocols, standards, and WLAN design.
- Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) and network automation concepts is beneficial.
- Experience managing and leading network engineering teams.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong technical understanding of networking principles, protocols, architectures, and services.
- Proficient in configuring and managing complex network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless controllers.
- Knowledge of advanced network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, QoS, and security-related protocols.
- Excellent documentation and effective communication skills tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Project management capabilities including resource allocation and budget oversight.
- Analytical problem-solving skills to address intricate network challenges.
- Leadership and people management skills emphasizing collaboration and innovation.

This is an on-site position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
