Job description
Overview
This role is based in West Bay, Doha, Qatar, within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category. The position is full-time and requires working onsite. The Team Lead will oversee staff collaboration to guarantee optimal guest service, manage daily opening and closing duties, and ensure the cleanliness and safety of dining and work areas throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead the team to deliver excellent guest service and meet all guest requirements.
- Perform opening and closing procedures including preparing supplies and cleaning all equipment and workspaces.
- Maintain continuous cleanliness by applying clean-as-you-go methods.
- Supervise the dining areas for guest seating, service standards, safety, and overall guest welfare.
- Initiate and follow up on maintenance work orders and report urgent repair needs promptly.
- Document and notify management and Loss Prevention of any incidents involving staff, guests, or vendors immediately.
- Assist management in staff hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
- Serve as a role model by adhering to company, safety, and security protocols and reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
- Maintain professional employee appearance and confidentiality of company information while safeguarding company property.
- Warmly welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs including assistance for individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests while building positive working relationships and supporting team objectives.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and expectations set by the company.
- Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, maneuvering in confined spaces, and other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum education: High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of relevant food and beverage experience.
- No prior supervisory experience required.
- No specific certifications or licenses required.
