Role Overview

As part of our Finance and Accounting team, the Team Lead for Account to Report is responsible for ensuring accurate and complete accounting processes across the Balance Sheet and Income Statement areas. The role entails ownership of key accounting operations including sales and purchase order creation, reconciliation of discrepancies, monitoring aging items, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and driving standardization initiatives within the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the daily accounting operations and financial processes for the GSF Accounting areas.
• Manage and mentor a team of junior and senior analysts.
• Ensure timely closure of financial periods aligned with the closing calendar and service level agreements, maintaining compliance with internal audit and SOX standards.
• Guarantee accuracy, completeness, and validity of financial actuals within your process scope.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of worldwide accounting procedures and compliance obligations applicable to your areas.
• Focus on minimizing open items through continual balance sheet reconciliations.
• Engage and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct on-the-job training for new team members and collaborating partners.
• Establish and uphold strong internal controls to achieve satisfactory audit ratings both internally and externally.
• Implement and align with global finance strategies and taxonomy-based solutions.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert ensuring alignment across sectors, regions, and processes including maintaining consistent documentation following global standards.
• Champion continuous improvement efforts by identifying and acting on process efficiencies and enhancements.
• Support talent acquisition and onboarding activities.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in ongoing training programs to build knowledge and skills.
• Manage performance evaluations and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Bachelor's degree in accountancy; MBA or CA qualification highly desirable.
• At least 2 years of experience managing teams preferred.
• Demonstrated learning agility and adaptability to diverse business needs; initial deployment may involve flexible assignments within the finance team prior to permanent placement.
• Willingness to work different shifts to support global services operations.
• Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills, with effective communication across all organizational levels.
• Solid analytical capabilities and adept at prioritizing deliverables with a drive to meet deadlines.
• Well-versed in general accounting principles, concepts, and legal requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems is advantageous.
• Previous exposure to multinational corporations is preferred.
• Knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards is an asset.
