Job description
Role overview
This opportunity is for an outstanding Mathematics and Physics educator to help launch and lead a new American high school program in Saudi Arabia. The position offers the chance to shape the academic direction from the very beginning by creating a challenging, engaging, and technology-driven learning experience.
The teacher will be responsible for Mathematics and Physics for grades 9 and 10. This is not a standard classroom-only role; it sits within a highly interactive hybrid model that brings together remote teachers, in-person facilitators, and digital learning tools.
The role can be performed remotely, and relocation is not required.
Key responsibilities
- Teach Mathematics and Physics for grades 9 and 10 starting in August, following the planned curriculum and learning objectives.
- Continuously develop, adjust, and strengthen lesson plans and teaching materials.
- Use digital platforms and educational technology to increase participation, engagement, and differentiated learning.
- Work closely with the broader team to improve curriculum design, delivery approaches, and the overall learning experience.
Required experience and qualifications
- Hands-on experience teaching Mathematics and Physics in American high school settings aligned with CCSS and NGSS standards.
- Background in creating and/or delivering Mathematics and Physics content for learners who may study in English as a second language.
- A recognized teaching-related qualification such as a BA/MA in the subject area, TESOL, CELTA, or an equivalent credential.
- At least 5 years of teaching experience.
- Ability to work full time from Sunday to Thursday in GMT +3 time zone, with possible flexibility for a half-day Sunday morning and a half-day Friday arrangement.
- Experience teaching online groups of 5 or more students.
- Native-level English speaker from an English-speaking country such as the US, UK, South Africa, or Australia.
- Reliable internet access and a professional-quality video setup.
Additional advantages
- Exposure to AI tools or newer EdTech resources in teaching is considered a strong plus.
- Arabic language skills are an advantage.
