About the Role
Mountain Creek State High School is seeking temporary Teacher Aides for the duration of 2026 to support student learning and contribute positively to the school community. Depending on prior experience and current status with the Department of Education, successful candidates will be appointed at levels TA2, TA3, or TA4. This is a part-time role at 0.79 Full-Time Equivalent (60 hours per fortnight).

Key Responsibilities
- Support supervision of educational activities under teacher guidance.
- Work with both small groups and individual students to aid their learning process.
- Provide assistance to students with special needs, including support with mobility, positioning, meals, toileting, and dressing when necessary, following proper training.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate within a team environment.
- Demonstrate respect, empathy, confidentiality, tact, reliability, and sensitivity towards students and their families.
- When required, assist in managing equipment and resources, including stocktaking.
- Carry out administrative tasks such as typing teacher notes and programs, photocopying materials, organizing exam papers, recording examination results, compiling student records, and helping to coordinate off-site activities.
- Prepare, store, distribute, and clear teaching equipment and materials.
- Contribute to student welfare, health, and safety, including providing first aid when necessary.
