Role Overview

The work involves sourcing through online talent platforms, social channels, Boolean searching, and market analysis to uncover strong matches, especially passive talent and hard-to-reach candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Find potential candidates and passive talent through applicant sources, Gartner’s CRM, referrals, professional social platforms, research, and relationship-building efforts.
- Create interest in opportunities by using persuasive outreach, marketing-style messaging, and social engagement that communicates Gartner’s employer value proposition.
- Use a campaign-based sourcing approach to engage talent for open roles and long-term pipeline development.
- Screen prospective candidates through phone conversations, trait-based assessments, and behavioral interview techniques to gauge suitability.
- Maintain and grow a strong talent pipeline for current vacancies and future hiring needs.
- Develop trusted working relationships with recruiters and hiring managers to align sourcing plans with business requirements.
- Carry out market mapping and gather market intelligence to support recruitment strategy.
- Expand professional reach through user groups, blogs, networking events, and other community channels.
What You Need
The role calls for 2 to 3 years of experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, along with strong research capability and the ability to generate candidates effectively. You should be comfortable with modern direct sourcing methods and able to adapt as new tools and strategies emerge.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- A polished communicator who can influence others professionally.
- A creative, curious problem solver who brings new ideas and approaches.
- Someone who builds networks through LinkedIn or similar professional platforms.
- Comfortable using social media and market intelligence in sourcing work.
- Motivated by high performance, metrics, goals, and measurable outcomes.
- Values teamwork, collaboration, and strong working relationships.
- Organized and confident using CRM or applicant tracking systems and related processes.
- Resourceful, adaptable, and able to work well through change.
What Gartner Offers
- A meaningful seat at the table in a growing people-focused business.
- Freedom to innovate and challenge existing approaches.
- Exposure to leading training and professional development opportunities.
- Recognition and rewards tied to performance.
- A flexible hybrid working setup with a mix of virtual and in-person collaboration.
