Talent Acquisition Specialist

Role overview

Canada Cartage is seeking a bilingual Talent Acquisition Specialist / Driver Recruiter to help support continued growth across transportation and logistics. This position reports to the Director of Talent Acquisition and is centered on high-volume hiring, with a strong emphasis on recruiting drivers while also contributing to recruitment for other business functions. The company is open to applicants who are earlier in their careers and want to develop their expertise in a fast-moving environment.

The job is based in Mississauga, Ontario, follows a Monday to Friday day-shift schedule, and is a full-time permanent role.

Key responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end recruitment for driver roles and other positions across the organization, mainly supporting Quebec and occasionally other regions.
• Identify, screen, and evaluate candidates to confirm fit with role needs and company expectations.
• Work closely with hiring managers and operations teams to clarify hiring priorities and workforce requirements.
• Assist with recruitment marketing activities such as posting jobs, running campaigns, and strengthening employer branding.
• Develop and sustain talent pipelines for roles that require high-volume hiring.
• Monitor and share recruitment data including time-to-fill, hire quality, and turnover trends.
• Suggest improvements that enhance process efficiency, candidate experience, and overall hiring outcomes.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate brings 1 to 3 years of recruitment experience, or related exposure in HR, staffing, or high-volume hiring. Experience in transportation or logistics is considered an advantage. Prior work in full-cycle or high-volume recruitment environments will also be helpful.

A post-secondary background in Human Resources, Business, or a related area is an advantage. French and English proficiency, both spoken and written, is preferred.
