Job Overview

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will lead recruitment efforts for the Park Avenue Network Office of Northwestern Mutual. This role focuses on executing recruiting strategies, including candidate sourcing and community engagement, to achieve contract goals effectively. Key skills required are exceptional interpersonal abilities, prioritization, clear verbal and written communication, and a strong motivation to deliver results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement recruiting plans to meet defined activity and productivity targets
  • Identify and source qualified candidates actively
  • Oversee the candidate selection process as the primary contact through all hiring stages
  • Gain comprehensive understanding of the roles being recruited for and the associated selection procedures
  • Evaluate resumes and arrange initial interviews
  • Conduct prescreening and first-round interviews
  • Perform follow-up interviews as necessary
  • Maintain recruitment records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Provide weekly and monthly recruitment activity reports to leadership
  • Formulate and execute qualified lead generation strategies
  • Engage openly in local community groups to promote Northwestern Mutual
  • Plan and manage advertising and marketing initiatives

Additional Duties

  • Assist leadership with recruitment and selection initiatives
  • Utilize resourcefulness to resolve recruitment challenges
  • Represent the company at career fairs and other events as required
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of candidate notes and recruitment reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least five years of relevant experience
  • A minimum of three years' professional experience in recruitment, sales, or a related field
  • Prior experience in financial services is a plus
  • Proven ability to generate leads through phone or face-to-face interactions
  • Proficiency with sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and Handshake
  • Strong personal and professional network or community involvement
