About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join a reputable Western Canadian organization in the wholesale distribution and manufacturing sector. This full-time position is based in our downtown Edmonton office. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand recruitment needs and design effective hiring strategies.
  • Create and advertise job postings across various platforms and sourcing channels.
  • Identify, screen, and evaluate candidates via phone, virtual, and behavioral interviews.
  • Maintain and develop talent pipelines for present and future staffing needs.
  • Organize interviews, gather and relay candidate feedback, and assist in making hiring decisions.
  • Handle offer preparation, conduct reference checks, and support onboarding processes.
  • Monitor recruitment performance metrics and ensure accurate maintenance of candidate and job requisition data.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum five years of experience in full-cycle recruitment or talent acquisition.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or related disciplines is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in sourcing candidates through diverse methods such as headhunting, job boards, referrals, and networking.
  • Strong organizational capabilities to manage several hiring requisitions at once.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite including Teams; knowledge of UKG software is beneficial.
  • Preferred experience recruiting within construction, architectural, interior design, woodworking, manufacturing, or distribution industries.
  • Passionate about talent acquisition and developing effective teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities with candidates, hiring managers, and leadership.
  • High emotional intelligence and sound judgment for evaluating candidate suitability and long-term potential.
  • Confidence in influencing hiring decisions and serving as a trusted recruitment advisor to leadership.
  • A proactive and resilient work ethic focused on results-driven sourcing and engagement of top talent.
