Job description

About A1

A1 is building a proactive smart assistant for everyday users, designed to make common digital tasks more intelligent and less manual. The goal is to help people handle conversations, errands, organisation, and workflows with very little prompting.

The product is centred on dependable long-running workflows, persistent context, and successful real-world task completion. It needs to manage multi-step reasoning, work with external tools, and stay dependable even when model outputs are unpredictable. The aim is to reduce the time users spend on everyday tasks by more than 90%.

Role Overview

In this role, you will help run end-to-end recruitment for product, engineering, and business positions. You will work closely with recruiters and hiring managers to keep hiring processes moving efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.

This is a practical, execution-heavy role suited to someone early in their career who wants to learn how strong technical hiring is done in a real business environment.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Assist with the complete hiring cycle across different roles, including sourcing, screening, interview scheduling, and support through the offer stage.
  • Find candidates through multiple channels such as LinkedIn, referrals, job boards, and direct outreach.
  • Review CVs and conduct first-round screenings to evaluate role fit, motivation, and communication skills.
  • Arrange interviews, manage schedules, and gather feedback from both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Keep candidate information current and accurate in the ATS, while maintaining process consistency and data quality.
  • Contribute to recruiting initiatives and process improvements as the team grows, including work on candidate experience and employer branding.
  • Help maintain a well-organised, responsive hiring operation that keeps pace with business needs.

What You Will Need

  • 0 to 2 years of experience in recruiting, HR, operations, coordination, or a related field; motivated fresh graduates with an interest in recruiting are also welcome.
  • Strong ability to stay organised and handle details carefully.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills.
  • Comfort using tools like Google Sheets, Excel, and basic ATS platforms.
  • A proactive approach, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback.
  • Capability to manage several tasks at once and reliably follow through.

Additional Information

Previous exposure to recruiting is useful but not mandatory. A strong attitude, curiosity, and ability to execute are valued more highly than prior experience.

Why Join A1

  • Gain hands-on exposure to technical recruiting from the ground up in a small team with high standards.
  • Work closely with experienced recruiters, engineers, and hiring managers.
  • Take on real ownership and responsibility from the beginning.
  • Be part of a flat team structure where initiative and execution matter more than job titles.
  • Grow into roles such as Talent Partner, Recruiter, or specialised technical hiring positions.
  • Receive competitive pay and opportunities for meaningful career development.
