Position Summary
Join Canvas as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, driving and refining the end-to-end recruitment efforts to attract and onboard top talent aligned with our company's values and demanding standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize the complete recruitment lifecycle, from initial job posting to coordinating onboarding for new hires.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and provide strategic insight on crafting job descriptions, defining ideal candidate profiles, and selection techniques.
- Implement proactive approaches to sourcing candidates via online job boards, social media, networking, and developing talent pipelines for high-quality recruitment.
- Evaluate applications and conduct preliminary interviews, guaranteeing candidates meet role criteria and organizational culture standards.
- Arrange interview schedules and maintain timely, clear communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Maintain precise and current records in the applicant tracking system (ATS), including producing recruitment metrics and trend analyses.
- Ensure all hiring activities comply with federal hiring laws and internal company policies, particularly regarding government contracting regulations.
- Represent Canvas at various recruitment events including job fairs and community engagement initiatives.
- Promote a positive candidate experience reflective of Canvas's culture, ensuring it is welcoming and respectful at every interaction.
- Advance diversity, equity, and inclusion by recruiting from a wide variety of talent sources and endorsing fair hiring practices.
- Analyze recruitment data and candidate feedback to recommend enhancements to recruitment processes and reduce time-to-fill vacancies.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree with over 5 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment roles.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication abilities to build effective partnerships across departments.
- Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS); experience with Workday is advantageous.
- Demonstrate capability to manage high-volume recruitment without compromising candidate experience.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to juggle multiple priorities proficiently.
- Show a driven and proactive attitude with enthusiasm for connecting candidates to rewarding career paths.
- Experience in recruitment within government contracting environments is preferred.
- Ability to interpret recruitment data to spot trends and suggest actionable improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Workday or similar enterprise-scale ATS tools.
- Experience hiring for both technical and non-technical positions.
- Certification in SHRM or related talent acquisition fields.
- Participation in or leadership of employer branding and recruitment marketing efforts.
