This opportunity is offered through a partner company that oversees all applications and subsequent processes. They seek a Talent Acquisition Recruiter based in Canada to help shape talent acquisition strategies in a dynamic, innovation-driven technology setting.

The role involves managing comprehensive recruitment cycles for specialized technical and creative roles spanning AI, data science, systems engineering, and interactive entertainment fields. Serving as a strategic talent advisor, the recruiter will collaborate intimately with business leaders and HR to develop strong candidate pipelines attracting top-tier professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Handle end-to-end recruitment operations including sourcing, candidate engagement, interviews, offers, and onboarding assistance.
  • Source candidates for niche functions such as AI/Machine Learning, data and systems roles, game development including programming, art, design, animation, production, and quality assurance.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR to translate organizational requirements into effective hiring strategies and talent pipelines.
  • Provide insights on talent availability, compensation trends, competitive landscapes, and sourcing tactics across Canada and the U.S.
  • Formulate proactive sourcing strategies for attracting difficult-to-find, highly skilled candidates.
  • Assess technical and creative applicants by evaluating engineering competencies, portfolios, demos, and other field-specific markers.
  • Ensure exemplary candidate experiences with clear communication and meaningful engagement throughout the recruitment process.
  • Support recruitment branding, community outreach, events, and employer visibility enhancement initiatives.
  • Leverage recruitment analytics and performance metrics to refine hiring decisions and recruitment processes.
  • Identify and recommend improvements for recruitment tools and workflows to support scalable talent acquisition functions.
  • Collaborate with team members to share best practices and promote ongoing improvements.
  • Operate in a bilingual English/French recruiting environment, adhering to market expectations particularly in Quebec.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience managing full-cycle recruitment, especially in technical and game development roles.
  • Demonstrable expertise recruiting across AI/ML, systems, data, software development, game programming, animation, creative production, and quality assurance domains.
  • Previous experience in gaming, interactive entertainment, tech, or related industries.
  • In-depth knowledge of Montreal and U.S. talent markets including sourcing methods, compensation standards, and competitive hiring environments.
  • Proven success in designing and executing strategic recruitment plans alongside senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced sourcing capabilities targeting specialized, high-demand talent pools.
  • Proficiency utilizing data, analytics, and market intelligence to guide recruitment strategies and outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal, consulting, and stakeholder relationship management skills.
  • Participation in wide talent acquisition projects, employer branding efforts, or recruitment process enhancements.
  • Bilingual fluency with English mandatory and French highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional background.
  • Familiarity with recruitment platforms such as SmartRecruiters, CRM, sourcing tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work onsite in a Montreal office approximately 1-2 days per week.
  • Familiarity with Montreal’s gaming and tech ecosystem including studios, creative communities, and emerging tech hubs.
  • Strong enthusiasm for gaming, interactive media, and cutting-edge technologies.
  • Analytical aptitude using recruitment data to inform performance assessments.
