Job description

About Vironix Health

Based in Austin, TX, Vironix Health is a health technology startup focused on revolutionizing remote patient monitoring (RPM) and chronic care management (CCM). Collaborating with healthcare providers, Vironix delivers continuous, data-driven patient care outside traditional clinical settings by integrating technology, clinical staffing, and care coordination with the goal of improving patient outcomes and reducing hospital visits. The company is expanding quickly, building its clinical workforce and internal teams.

Role Overview

The company seeks a dedicated Talent Acquisition and People Operations Manager to lead full-cycle recruiting and HR functions across the organization. This position encompasses comprehensive responsibility for the entire employee experience of approximately 60+ nationwide Medical Assistant contractors and permanent hires, including internal roles in sales and engineering. The role demands developing and scaling HR infrastructure—covering onboarding, payroll, compliance, and employee engagement—to support current growth and future expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage nationwide clinical recruiting efforts predominantly focused on Medical Assistants and Licensed Practical Nurses, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing candidates across multiple states with diverse licensing and market requirements.
  • Lead the internal hiring process for corporate positions such as Account Executives and Engineers, collaborating closely with hiring managers and leadership to define roles, compensation, and timelines, ensuring a smooth candidate journey from posting to onboarding.
  • Oversee daily HR operations, including payroll accuracy and timeliness for contractors, onboarding process coordination, compliance tracking (security, certifications, documentation), and handling employee and contractor HR inquiries with proper escalation.
  • Maintain and enhance recruiting and HR technology platforms (e.g., applicant tracking systems, onboarding automation), constantly seeking to automate repetitive tasks and improve process efficiency.
  • Keep leadership informed through up-to-date documentation, trackers, and dashboards reflecting headcount, hiring pipeline status, and compliance metrics for real-time visibility.

Success Indicators

  • Consistently maintain robust clinical hiring pipelines across all active states with minimal time-to-fill metrics.
  • Fill internal roles in sales and engineering with high-quality, vetted candidates aligned with growth objectives.
  • Ensure smooth and error-free onboarding, payroll, and compliance processes for both contractors and permanent employees.
  • Provide leadership with clear and current insights on recruitment and HR operations at all times.

Candidate Requirements

  • A minimum of three years of combined recruiting and HR experience, preferably including background in high-volume staffing and internal corporate hiring; startup environment experience is highly valued.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple requisitions and contractor interactions without oversight lapses.
  • A strong desire and passion for evolving and expanding the HR function alongside company growth rather than maintaining existing processes.
  • Ability to sustain composure and productivity in a high-pressure, fast-paced startup environment that involves demanding deadlines and workloads.
  • Capability to flexibly switch between recruiting clinical staff in the morning and resolving payroll or engagement matters in the afternoon.
  • Commitment to prioritize this role as a primary professional focus with the readiness to treat the company as a top priority for rewarding contributions.
  • Proficiency and comfort with technology tools such as Applicant Tracking Systems, Google Workspace, and a willingness to adapt and improve internal tools and automations.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health insurance coverage fully paid by the company.
  • Opportunity to receive stock options as part of compensation.

Work Environment and Reporting

This remote-first position requires the candidate to be based in Austin, TX, with occasional in-person meetings. The role reports directly to executive leadership including the CEO and Senior Vice President of Operations and holds significant autonomy to shape recruiting and HR practices as Vironix scales.
