As a TAFE Teacher, you will share your experience and qualifications with students through classroom teaching, online delivery, and workplace-based learning, helping learners from different backgrounds build the skills they need for work and future success.
The Role
There are two temporary full-time vacancies in the Electrical Educational Delivery team at TAFE Queensland’s Alexandra Hills Campus, with the assignment running until 30 June 2027 unless ended earlier or otherwise changed. In this position, you will contribute to the development of future electrical industry professionals and teach in classroom and other educational environments. The role reports to the relevant Business Manager.

Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must hold UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician, or an equivalent qualification, along with current industry capability relevant to the training and assessment being delivered, up-to-date vocational training and learning knowledge, and evidence of ongoing professional development in vocational training, learning, and assessment, including competency-based training and assessment.
To work as a TAFE Queensland teacher, you must also already have, or be willing to obtain, an adult education qualification. The preferred qualification is TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or an equivalent.
Teaching experience is not essential, as the right candidate may be supported through coaching, mentoring, and partnership. Strong qualifications, relevant industry background, and the right attitude are considered more important. Qualifications and proof of current industry currency and experience must be shown at interview.
