Tactical Buyer - Kabirwala

Based in Kabirwala, Punjab, this full-time procurement role focuses on the complete buyer lifecycle within Nestlé's supply chain function. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in any discipline, engineering, or an MBA, with 1-2 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders ensuring prompt and policy-compliant procurement transactions.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers to maintain accurate reporting and master data.
• Provide timely updates and insights from daily procurement operations to local business partners.
• Understand and anticipate business requirements for your designated plant or function and translate them into procurement needs.
• Analyze procurement data, conduct spend analysis, map procure-to-pay channels, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Engage with local suppliers to support development, ongoing operations, or supplier replacement initiatives based on category team directives.
• Assist heads of procurement and business partners in aligning sourcing plans with budget constraints and price planning cycles.
• Contribute to innovation, renovation, and cost-saving projects as outlined by category teams, while ensuring compliance with the Nestlé Supplier Code and audit requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Fundamental knowledge of procurement or supply chain operations.
• Capable of interpreting stakeholder needs to deliver timely transactional support.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and follow-up abilities to handle multiple stakeholders efficiently.
• Meticulous with strong attention to compliance and procedural rigor.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with SAP or ERP systems is advantageous.
• Proactive problem-solver with a sense of ownership and enthusiasm for continuous learning.
