Role Purpose

The Parts Manager will oversee end-to-end spare parts operations for the UAE subsidiary OEM, managing aspects such as supply chain, inventory management, pricing strategy, dealer business development, and team leadership. This role is vital for ensuring dealers efficiently service customer vehicles while maintaining profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Forecast demand by analyzing historical sales, seasonal trends, upcoming launches, and marketing campaigns to generate accurate parts requirement projections.
• Establish and maintain inventory policies defining minimum and maximum stock levels, including safety stock and reorder points, covering fast-moving, slow-moving, and critical vehicle off-road (VOR) parts.
• Convert demand forecasts into monthly purchasing plans considering supply lead times, warehouse capacity, and cash flow.
• Continuously improve forecast accuracy by evaluating variances and applying root cause analysis.
• Coordinate with headquarters on parts availability ahead of new model launches or campaigns.
• Manage purchase orders aligned to forecast and inventory policies, maintain communication with suppliers regarding lead times and delivery schedule, and negotiate terms like pricing and payment conditions.
• Evaluate supplier performance monthly against set metrics such as delivery timeliness, fill rate, order accuracy, and defect rate.
• Supervise third-party logistics operations for parts distribution centers, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
• Conduct cycle counts and annual inventories ensuring over 98% accuracy while managing slow-moving and obsolete stock through promotions, returns, or disposals.
• Ensure compliance with hazardous materials regulations during handling and storage.
• Maintain national parts pricing aligning with company policies, market conditions, and distributor margin goals; conduct semi-annual pricing reviews against competitors.
• Develop and implement a dealer parts business development program to increase dealer parts revenue and optimize stock management, including conducting dealer visits and business reviews.
• Provide detailed monthly reporting for senior management and dealer-level KPIs to monitor performance and identify areas requiring attention.
• Manage vehicle off-road (VOR) escalations ensuring priority stock allocation within 48 hours and maintain real-time tracking.
• Lead the parts team by setting objectives, performance assessments, identifying training needs, and fostering a culture focused on accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• More than 5 years’ experience in automotive spare parts management at distributor or OEM level within UAE.
• Proven expertise in demand forecasting, inventory planning, and purchase order management at established regional parts operations in UAE.
• Knowledge of parts pricing strategies and how price-volume dynamics function in the UAE automotive parts market.
• Experience in developing and managing dealer parts networks including training and business performance improvement.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills for data analytics and reporting.
