Role overview

This opportunity is for an experienced ground-based Synthetic Flight Instructor within Emirates Flight Training in Dubai. The department uses competency-based training and assessment (CBTA) and is among the few operators worldwide fully applying evidence-based training (EBT). The environment is designed for continuous learning, standardised delivery, and modern instructional methods.

The role supports Emirates Airline’s ongoing expansion and focuses on simulator-based instruction and classroom training in line with GCAA requirements and Emirates standards.

Core duties

• Deliver FSTD type rating, recurrent, and recency training, along with ground school sessions, following internal procedures and regulatory expectations.
• Prepare, complete, and submit detailed evaluations and reports through the electronic reporting platform.
• Identify pilots who are not meeting the required level and advise on extra or corrective training.
• Share observations and suggestions with training leadership to improve safety, effectiveness, and teaching methods.
• Support special projects, training content development, and other learning initiatives as required.

Qualification requirements

• Must hold, or have previously held, a Commercial Pilot License (CPL), Multi-crew Pilot License (MPL), or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
• At least 12 months of experience working actively as an Instructor or Examiner.
• Minimum total flight time of 1,500 hours as a pilot on a multi-pilot aeroplane.
• Strong communication ability and proven leadership skills.

Compensation and benefits

The annual base salary can go up to AED 376,320 (USD 102,460).
