Role Overview

The Chief Product Roadmap and Innovation Officer will spearhead the vision, strategic planning, and implementation of the global product and innovation roadmap. This role balances near-term priorities with long-term disruptive innovations, anticipating market trends to shape the future of consumer experiences and product technologies worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive agile product development to achieve at least 20% year-over-year growth across subcategories and deliver one new product in a new category annually generating a minimum of $50M in first-year revenue.
• Ensure product roadmaps merge outstanding performance with attractive aesthetics, managing design and color/material finishes from production through end-of-life.
• Lead a global team with an agile 'fail fast' philosophy, promoting rapid testing, iterative development, and a proactive approach to action.
• Continuously improve product offerings by fostering a culture focused on agility and ongoing enhancement.
• Optimize end-to-end product development lifecycle processes to improve efficiency and decrease time-to-market.
• Implement strong project management practices to guarantee timely, cost-efficient product delivery.
• Collaborate across departments including engineering, R&D, design, marketing, operations, supply chain, and quality control to align product development with customer needs and manufacturing capabilities.
• Maintain oversight of cost-effective operations ensuring quality and reliability, manage budgets, resources, and lead profit & loss responsibility for the product portfolio.
• Identify and manage risks such as supply chain disruptions, manufacturing delays, and regulatory compliance challenges.
• Establish performance metrics and provide regular updates, leveraging data analytics for continuous process refinement.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• At least 15 years in product development within consumer products sectors such as CPG, electronics, home goods, beauty, or apparel.
• Proven success leading product innovation and launches in large or high-growth companies.
• Expertise in R&D, design thinking, and market-driven strategies.
• Experience leading substantial teams and managing complex product portfolios.
• Strong understanding of consumer insights, supply chain logistics, regulatory standards, and sustainability trends.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic visioning, and effective communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, Business, or related fields; MBA preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary ranges from $325,000 to $375,000 USD, factoring in experience, education, and location.
