Role Summary

The Surveillance Officer will be responsible for overseeing the activities of guests and staff via CCTV monitoring within the resort. The role includes gathering intelligence to aid both internal and external investigations, assessing and responding to incidents, and supporting incident commanders during critical events. Extensive knowledge of electronic security systems and management is expected to ensure efficient operation and supervision of CCTV and access control systems. The officer will also conduct audits to maintain and enhance the overall security infrastructure of the resort.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fixed and alarm-triggered CCTV systems in the command center, including manual camera control for active incidents.
• Manage digital CCTV footage recording cycles, ensuring compliance with Dubai Law 13-2005.
• Report any faults or malfunctions in the Security Management System (SiPass) to appropriate management and facilities teams promptly.
• Coordinate with police and authorized authorities to facilitate reviews of recorded security incidents.
• Detect and respond to emergency incidents via CCTV or alarm activations, including fire and panic alerts.
• Monitor fire alarm controls such as fire control panels and the FAVA system.
• Handle evacuation procedures and broadcast warnings throughout the resort as necessary.
• Deliver public announcements and serve as a radio communication hub for security and designated departments, including emergency response teams.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the command center and security office, with weekly deep cleaning duties.
• Follow directives from the Surveillance Team Leader, Duty Manager, and senior security executives.
• Assist security managers by providing evidence from CCTV, Key Management, or Access Control systems for investigations.
• Support policy enforcement through effective use of security management technologies.
• Lead day-to-day surveillance operations and manage critical security incidents during Team Leader absences.
• Direct and coordinate security officers to achieve department objectives.
• Prepare detailed reports as required and uphold discipline aligned with resort policies.
• Ensure security officers' performance meets management standards, especially when team leads are unavailable.

Requirements

• Completed secondary education.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
• Experience in hospitality environments is preferable.
• Possession of a valid CCTV SIRA License is mandatory.
• At least three years of experience as a CCTV Operator.
• Minimum three years working in four or five-star hotel environments.
