Role overview
An opportunity is available for a Support Pharmacist to become part of the team at McCauley Poppyfields Pharmacy in Clonmel. This is a permanent position averaging 36 hours per week.
Store hours
The pharmacy operates the following opening schedule: Monday to Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Team structure
The current store team includes a Store Manager, an Assistant Store Manager, one Supervising Pharmacist, one Relief Pharmacist, two Technicians, and seven Healthcare Advisors.
Key responsibilities
The Support Pharmacist will oversee the day-to-day operation of the dispensary and hold overall accountability for several core store functions. This includes stock management activities such as purchasing, ordering, merchandising, date checks, and stock counts. The role also carries responsibility for ensuring controlled drugs requirements are followed without exception, as well as maintaining pharmacy presentation standards.

Requirements
Applicants must hold PSI registration and a degree in Pharmacy. The role also calls for someone who can stay effective under pressure, manage multiple tasks at once, work independently, contribute to business growth within the dispensary and store, communicate well with different personalities, and consistently promote high standards of customer service.
