Job description
About the role
Collective Growth is seeking a skilled Senior Occupational Therapist with a strong paediatric focus to join its team in Gladstone, Queensland. The position centres on helping children and their families across a variety of developmental and functional needs, with particular experience in autism, sensory processing, behavioural concerns, and everyday skill development.
This is a caseload-based role where you will provide evidence-informed, family-centred therapy aimed at achieving practical, long-term progress for each child. In addition to direct clinical work, the role includes a leadership element, with opportunities to influence service quality and support the growth of the paediatric offering.
What you'll do
You will manage a paediatric caseload and deliver therapy tailored to the needs of children and their families. The role also involves contributing to the development of paediatric resources, helping shape best-practice approaches, and supporting junior team members as they strengthen their skills in working with children.
There is also scope to contribute ideas for new and improved programs that better meet the needs of local families and support the ongoing expansion of the service.
Team and culture
You will join a collaborative, values-led workplace that places importance on professional growth, teamwork, and creating a positive environment for both staff and clients. The role combines hands-on therapy with clinical leadership and offers the chance to help shape how paediatric services are delivered within the community.
Requirements
Applicants should bring prior experience and a genuine commitment to paediatric occupational therapy. The position requires current AHPRA registration and a valid Working with Children Blue Card. A driver’s licence and access to a car would be advantageous.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $124,000 to $134,000 per year, plus superannuation and additional benefits.
Who this role suits
This opportunity is well suited to an Occupational Therapist who is enthusiastic about supporting children, enjoys mentoring others, and wants to contribute to a service that is growing with purpose.
