Job description
Overview
This role is based at Satair Singapore, a part of Airbus Services. The Supply Officer will be responsible for procuring and ensuring availability of a wide range of aircraft spare parts and associated services to meet both internal and external customer requirements. The position carries accountability for fulfilling orders with respect to cost efficiency, timing, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create purchase orders promptly according to demand forecasts.
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules, follow-up on shipments, and track goods in transit to guarantee timely order completion.
- Verify accuracy of purchase order details including pricing, quantities, and certifications to avoid future processing delays.
- Prepare daily summaries of order statuses to maintain transparency and identify necessary actions.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams; participate in supplier business reviews where appropriate.
- Initiate corrective measures promptly when order issues arise.
- Communicate significant updates and progress with relevant internal and external parties such as CRS, planners, and suppliers.
- Maintain all order information and changes accurately within SAP and other systems.
- Handle return shipments to vendors efficiently.
- Address supplier discrepancies and quality problems by collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
- Assist the accounting department by resolving root causes of blocked invoices.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma holder with at least 2 years' experience in supply chain operations, preferably within the aerospace sector; fresh graduates may also apply.
- Familiarity with SAP and Google Suite productivity tools is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated experience in supply management or purchasing functions.
- Basic proficiency with IT tools focused on Google applications.
- Industry understanding related to aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, or spare parts distribution.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented, methodical, proactive, and adaptable.
- Competent in managing workload under pressure and conflict situations.
- Skilled in prioritizing tasks and delivering service excellence.
- Capable of working independently in an international setting.
