About the Role
Join Satair, part of Airbus, on a mission supporting sustainable aviation by delivering exceptional material solutions that enable aircraft to remain operational and increase lifespan. As Head of Logistics Operations - Americas, you will oversee warehouse operations managing two major sites in Dulles, VA, and Miami, FL, leading a team of approximately 150 employees to drive operational excellence and strategic growth within the Americas region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and influence decision-makers both internally and externally to meet operational and strategic goals, fostering continuous improvement and long-term development of logistics capabilities.
- Shape and support the global warehouse network's footprint and technological infrastructure, coordinating with international logistics teams.
- Define clear objectives and logistics strategies to surpass customer expectations through reliable, defect-free, and timely service.
- Drive ongoing operational excellence using lean methodologies and collaborate across departments to enhance performance.
- Lead and develop management and professional teams to ensure exceptional warehousing and shipping operations, cultivating a motivating workplace culture focused on engagement and customer satisfaction.
- Implement comprehensive risk management and safety compliance initiatives aligned with health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Manage budgets, including CAPEX, OPEX, and staffing, in line with annual plans while initiating sustainability efforts within the operational scope.
- Participate actively in compliance with company mission, values, quality management, and ethical standards, contributing to a safe and inspiring work environment.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Over 10 years of experience in supply chain or materials management with at least 5 years of leadership accountability.
- Extensive understanding of warehouse processes, inventory management, automation, and transport operations.
- Industry experience in aerospace aftermarket, customer service, or aviation after-sales operations is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
- Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship requirements.

- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and IT systems, particularly SAP R/3, EWM/TMS, warehouse and transportation management systems, and quality and process governance.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work onsite at the Dulles location with requirements for regional and international travel.
- Physical abilities include vision and hearing sufficient for computer work and communication, ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs, and wearing of required personal protective equipment during site visits.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $160,000 to $175,000 annually, with variations based on geographic location and individual qualifications.
