Key responsibilities
- Own the successful execution of the supply chain scope assigned to you.
- Handle the full sourcing cycle for medium-risk procurement and subcontract packages, from strategy development through closure.
- Make sure all supply chain tasks follow the project execution plan or schedule, the contracting approach, approved budgets, and internal project procedures.
- Maintain the project or procurement status report in line with required on-site dates and expected lead times, and escalate any delays to the supply chain lead.
- Join regular status meetings with the client, engineering, and project management teams to keep pre-order deliverables on track.
- Guide internal teams and external suppliers on contractual duties and responsibilities for both Wood and the supplier.
- Use Wood’s Approved Supplier Register, and when needed, project or client-approved supplier lists, for supplier assessment, audit, and selection.
- Conduct supplier performance reviews and ongoing supplier management, and ensure corrective actions are implemented where needed.
- Ensure all legal and statutory obligations are followed and that every action remains fully traceable and auditable.
- Promote safe working methods and maintain safety awareness at all times.
- Work in line with Wood’s vision, values, and expected behaviours.
- Follow the Wood Financial Management Framework in day-to-day work.
- Track and capture internal and external savings targets for the year in line with the business plan.
- Support the rollout of global, regional, or country initiatives as required by the business plan.
Qualifications and experience
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent qualification, in a business-related field, preferably with a focus on supply chain or procurement. Progress toward CIPS qualification is preferred. The role also requires a record of relevant skills training, along with at least 2 years of supply chain experience delivering measurable results.
Skills and knowledge
Candidates should have a solid understanding of supplier management, commercial evaluation, negotiations, and purchase or contract terms and conditions. Experience with subcontract agreements, framework agreements, industry-standard subcontract forms, ERP systems, client contract requirements, and supply chain principles and techniques is expected. Experience in commercial evaluations, negotiation, terms and conditions review, and supplier relationship management is also important.
