This graduate trainee opportunity is intended for an Emirati national who is interested in supporting the administration and functional use of Engineering Document Management Systems (EDMS) within major energy and process plant projects. The position offers practical exposure to how engineering documents, project records, and deliverables are controlled in complex project environments.
An EDMS is a governed platform used to manage project documentation and engineering outputs. It typically covers document registration, metadata handling, review and approval flows, revision tracking, transmittals, permission management, reporting, and final handover records.
The role will involve helping with everyday EDMS operations such as user assistance, system setup, access control, workflow support, reporting, data validation, user training, and resolving issues. It is designed to build capability in systems administration, structured information handling, and data quality management.

Responsibilities
- Support the daily operation of the EDMS environment, including user assistance and issue resolution
- Help manage document registration, metadata, revision control, transmittals, permissions, and related system activities
- Assist with workflow administration, reporting, and system configuration tasks
- Carry out data quality checks to help maintain accurate and reliable records
- Provide basic user guidance and training on system processes and document handling
- Work with engineering and project information in line with standards, procedures, and internal policies
- Prepare clear reports, notes, and written updates as needed
- Apply attention to detail when handling structured project information and records
- Use general computer tools and any relevant specialist software in day-to-day tasks
- Contribute to the practical application of engineering and information-management processes within project work
Requirements
- Must be an Emirati national
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Management, Library Science, Business Administration, Computer Science, IT, or Records Management
- Basic knowledge of document lifecycle management
- Understanding of business processes and workflow-based work environments
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Some familiarity with SharePoint, DMS, or ECM tools from academic or internship exposure is acceptable
- Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical information at a graduate level
- Awareness of standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements that affect project work
- Good written communication and basic computer literacy
