Role overview
Wood is hiring an Area Lead for the Process Plant (PT & TBT) scope to support its Projects business. The role will be central to the creation of a new gold mining and processing facility, with a focus on construction and pre-commissioning activities.
The assignment may begin in an office setting in Al Khobar, Riyadh, or Jubail before moving to a site-based role in Saudi Arabia on an 8/2 rotation.
Key responsibilities
- Direct the build-out of process tanks and associated internal parts, making sure the work matches the approved design and project requirements.
- Bring together structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical/instrumentation work so the different disciplines stay aligned.
- Oversee mechanical completion, including inspections, closing out punch items, and confirming the system is ready for the next stage.
- Support a smooth transition of completed systems to the commissioning team.

Qualifications and experience
Applicants should bring at least 15 years of relevant industry experience and hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Experience with large process tank construction in mining plants is preferred, along with related work in oil and gas tank farms, process vessels, and tank-based treatment systems.
