Overview
The Supply Chain Process & Systems team is responsible for creating proprietary software solutions to ensure efficient and dependable supply chain processes at Tesla, focusing on the EMEA region while aligning with global initiatives from North America. This position is located at Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg and supports operations across EMEA, contributing to global supply chain projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the development roadmap for procure-to-pay processes including order booking, inbound transport, receiving, and master data management by gathering requirements, designing solutions, user acceptance testing, deployments, and ongoing post-deployment support.
- Deliver daily system maintenance by diagnosing and resolving issues across EMEA supply chain systems.
- Lead projects related to inbound transportation new system implementations and troubleshoot associated problems in collaboration with the broader team.
- Partner with Operations, Development, and Product teams both regionally and globally to build features that support scalability and growth in Tesla's custom-built supply chain systems.
- Identify improvement opportunities across procure-to-pay, order booking, receiving, master data, and logistics systems focusing on streamlining, automation, and optimization.
- Conduct thorough system testing pre, during, and post deployment to ensure reliability and address any gaps or bugs.
- Create and update training content and standard operating procedures reflective of current system functionality, monitoring adoption and effectiveness.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency, system uptime, and software performance while ensuring data reliability.
- Communicate upcoming project updates and gather feedback from global supply chain teams to refine and drive the roadmap forward.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, science, supply chain, or related discipline or demonstrated exceptional ability in the field.
- Practical experience in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing or business operations; or experience managing software development projects or products in technical or business capacities.
- Knowledge of ERP, MRP, and TMS systems such as SAP and Oracle, and skill applying that knowledge to proprietary, in-house supply chain systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities focusing on data-driven, structured approaches.
- Proficiency in querying, analyzing, and interpreting data to support decision-making and operational improvements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively across diverse teams including IT, operations, and finance.
- Commitment to sustainability principles aligned with Tesla’s Environmental, Health, Safety & Security policies and EMAS standards, promoting continual improvement in environmental practices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience across supply chain sectors such as procurement, order booking, receiving, master data, planning, or transport logistics.
- Understanding of transportation management systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and inbound logistics processes.
- Ability to use SQL and data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, and Excel; familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R for advanced data analysis.
- Knowledge of emerging AI tools applicable to supply chain systems.
