Job description
Role Overview
Lead the full spectrum of the organization's supply chain and logistics functions by formulating strategic plans that enhance procurement, inventory management, transportation, warehousing, distribution, and order fulfillment. This role prioritizes operational efficiency, expense reduction, and superior customer service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement corporate supply chain strategies to align with business goals and market demands.
- Strengthen operational resilience and supervise both regional and global logistics frameworks supporting sustainable growth.
- Collaborate closely with leadership teams across procurement, manufacturing, sales, finance, customer service, operations, technology, quality assurance, and compliance, as well as external logistics partners.
- Lead activities including Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), demand and supply forecasting, inventory control, and management of warehousing and transportation.
- Oversee supplier performance, logistics contract negotiations, and ERP system optimization.
- Champion digital supply chain innovations such as AI-driven forecasting, automation projects, logistics network design, and risk and business continuity strategies.
- Drive sustainability initiatives and governance through key performance indicators and continuous operational improvements to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Analytics, Economics, or related area. Advanced degrees (MBA or master’s) are highly valued.
- Established experience in senior leadership supply chain roles, including titles such as Supply Chain Operations Director or Logistics Director.
- Comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end supply chain and logistics functions including procurement, demand planning, inventory and warehouse management, transportation, distribution, and global trade compliance.
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale, regional, or global supply network operations.
- Direct familiarity with leading enterprise technologies (SAP S/4HANA, SAP IBP, Oracle SCM Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, Manhattan Associates, Infor, Coupa, Power BI, Tableau, WMS, TMS, ERP platforms).
- Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, TQM methodologies, demand forecasting, procurement policies, customs and trade regulations, as well as sustainability and risk management practices.
- Knowledge of advanced digital tools including AI, predictive analytics, machine learning, digital twins, IoT, robotic automation, cloud computing, blockchain, autonomous logistics, and business intelligence platforms is highly desirable.
- Excellent strategic thinking, decision-making, financial acumen managing large operational budgets and capital expenditure, negotiation capabilities, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong leadership with proven ability to influence senior executives, suppliers, regulatory bodies, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience in global supply chain transformation initiatives, ERP rollouts, warehouse automation, digital logistics upgrades, M&A integrations, sustainability programs, and regional business growth.
- Preferred certifications include APICS CSCP, CPIM, CPSM, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, SAP Supply Chain Certification or equivalent.
