About the Company

Foodmax is creating Singapore’s first end-to-end B2B food sourcing platform, linking food suppliers upstream with F&B businesses downstream. The marketplace spans fresh vegetables and fruits, frozen products, sauces and condiments, dry pantry items, cooking oils, beverages, and more.

Role Overview

This position is focused on building the meat, poultry, and egg supply base. The goal is to secure dependable suppliers who can offer strong quality and competitive pricing to restaurants, hawker stalls, coffee shops, and chain outlets.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, approach, and build relationships with slaughterhouses, frozen meat importers, poultry wholesalers, and egg suppliers in Singapore and across Southeast Asia.
• Negotiate commercial terms and bring suppliers onto the platform for fresh pork, poultry, beef, mutton, frozen meat, and eggs.
• Develop the category sourcing plan by defining the number and mix of suppliers needed across fresh meat, frozen meat, poultry, and egg segments.
• Keep supply coverage strong while maintaining competitive pricing across all protein sub-categories.
• Manage the supplier onboarding flow end to end, including compliance review, contract discussions, and product listing coordination.
• Track supplier output and sales performance on an ongoing basis, replacing weaker suppliers with stronger alternatives when needed.
• Work closely with the Supplier Operations team after onboarding to ensure smooth handover and execution.
• Coordinate with Sales to understand customer demand and support reverse sourcing efforts.
• Partner with Fulfillment to ensure cold-chain handling and food-safety standards are met for protein products.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in supplier acquisition, business development, or procurement, preferably within meat, poultry, egg supply chains, or a B2B marketplace environment.
• Strong grasp of protein category operations, including slaughterhouse and wholesale supply structures, freezer and cold-chain requirements, pricing fluctuations, and food-safety compliance basics.
• Exposure to Singapore’s meat-processing hubs such as Senoko or Jurong, or familiarity with frozen meat import channels in Southeast Asia, will be an advantage.
• English must be usable for work, and Mandarin proficiency is required for coordination with suppliers in China, Malaysia, and Indonesia as well as HQ communication.
• Candidate should be ready to be based in Singapore for the long term and comfortable working across different cultures.
• Preferred background includes experience with Meituan Kuailv or similar wholesale food sourcing platforms.
• Knowledge of Southeast Asian frozen meat import rules and cold-chain logistics is preferred.
• Prior overseas work experience is also considered an advantage.

Compensation

Monthly pay ranges from SGD 5,000 to SGD 10,000, with an additional performance bonus.
