Overview

Join The Walt Disney Company in shaping the way millions engage with Disney's stories, brands, and experiences via social media platforms. This position supports the implementation of social media and influencer strategies across the UK and EMEA regions.

There are two openings within this role: one focusing on the Disney Animation & Pixar portfolio, and the other concentrating on Marvel & Lucasfilm. Both roles work within the same team, collaborating closely with their respective franchise teams to craft social media and influencer campaigns tailored to their unique audiences and business goals.

Working onsite in London Hammersmith for four days per week, with the option to work from home one day (either Monday or Friday), the role demands creativity, organisational skills, and expertise in social platforms to drive audience-centric and brand-aligned content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a dedicated social media and influencer liaison for assigned franchise portfolios, supporting campaign development and execution across UK and EMEA markets.
  • Plan, execute, and optimise social media and influencer activities on Disney brand channels within the region.
  • Create compelling social-first content to enhance brand connection and boost audience engagement.
  • Assist in deploying social media and influencer guidelines and best practices across EMEA.
  • Manage mid-scale influencer initiatives including identifying talent, outreach, briefing, contracting, delivery, and reporting.
  • Support large influencer projects and ensure adherence to company influencer guidelines.
  • Coordinate content creation with agencies, designers, and external partners from conception to finalisation.
  • Support integrated campaigns and digital events through content planning, copywriting, approvals, asset management, scheduling, and performance analysis.
  • Monitor and analyse channel and campaign metrics to provide insights and inform future strategies.
  • Assist with tactical paid social media activities including amplification and performance optimisation.
  • Collaborate with markets and platform teams on new channel launches, innovations, account verification, and troubleshooting.
  • Upkeep governance and security protocols for social media accounts, including access reviews and platform best practices.
  • Promote audience-first thinking by sharing trends, emerging formats, and industry updates with peers.
  • Support regional initiatives such as competitions, asset distribution, and inclusive content representation.
  • Oversee the Social Media Intern's daily tasks and priorities.
  • Present project updates, recommendations, and new opportunities to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrable experience in social media, digital marketing, or integrated marketing environments, whether agency or client-based.
  • Proven ability managing professional social media platforms.
  • Experience collaborating with influencers, content creators, or talent-centric campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of key social media platforms, audience behavior, trends, and platform innovations.
  • Competent in data analysis and translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Track record of monitoring campaign performance against KPIs and benchmarks.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills capable of handling multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Collaborative nature and adept at building productive cross-team relationships locally and internationally.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset.
  • Commercially aware with ability to identify opportunities to boost engagement and performance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint (or Keynote), and Word.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-moving and evolving digital and cultural environment.
  • Self-motivated and capable of independently driving projects forward.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in creating or capturing social-first content for consumer-facing brands.
  • Familiarity with managing campaigns across multiple international markets or regional teams.
  • Knowledge of social media management, reporting, and governance tools like Emplifi and 1Password.
  • Experience assisting paid social campaigns and amplification initiatives.
  • Understanding of social media governance, security, and compliance standards.
