Structural General Worker (Bangladeshi/Indian/Myanmar Nationals)

Overview

We are seeking experienced Structural General Workers from Bangladesh, India, or Myanmar to join our team in Singapore. This role involves assisting with various structural construction tasks to support building projects with quality and safety as priorities.

Primary Duties

• Execute rebar operations which include reading structural drawings and bar bending schedules, cutting, bending, and securely fixing reinforcement bars following project requirements.
• Assemble and dismantle formwork systems made of timber, metal or modular components to prepare for concrete structure pouring, while helping with concrete placement and finishing.
• Perform brickwork and masonry activities such as laying bricks and blocks for walls or partitions, mixing mortar to suitable consistency, and applying surface finishes like plaster or rendering.
• Assist in installing structural steel parts and support reinforced concrete frameworks ensuring all actions conform to technical plans and building regulations.
• Engage in site preparation by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and managing materials and tools distribution across the construction site.
• Comply rigorously with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) rules, utilize all necessary PPE, and uphold cleanliness and safety at the work environment.
• Collaborate effectively with other trade professionals, supervisors, and foremen to maintain an efficient workflow throughout the project duration.

Candidate Profile

• Possess 2 to 4 years of practical experience in construction, particularly in structural-related roles.
• Skilled in rebar fixing, formwork installation, and masonry tasks.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and structural drawings is beneficial.
• Physically able to undertake manual labor in outdoor settings, following safety protocols.
• Holds a valid safety certification in construction such as WSQ or CoreTrade.
• Dedicated to maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship quality.
