Overview
The Global Category & Corporate Strategy Team is divided into three specialized groups: International Beverages Strategy, Global Foods Strategy, and Corporate Strategy. This role as Strategy Senior Manager is based in the International Beverages Strategy group but provides opportunities to engage with initiatives from all groups. Working within a compact, high-impact team, you will contribute to solving complex challenges influencing PepsiCo’s growth and capability enhancement. The role involves key responsibilities such as managing strategic initiatives for senior leadership and the board, devising solutions to critical business challenges within the corporate and food & beverage sectors, identifying future growth areas, and partnering with the organization to ensure strategic recommendations translate effectively into execution and value creation.
Responsibilities
- Convert complex business challenges into structured projects and lead these from hypothesis formation through to final presentation and delivery.
- Manage analytical workstreams by breaking down business problems, creating strategic, analytical and financial frameworks to address them efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Exhibit strong leadership and influence, with the capability to challenge existing norms constructively.
- Guide and oversee team performance to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Support the growth and development of direct reports through coaching, performance evaluations, and career mentorship.
- Create executive-quality presentations and materials for strategic projects.
- Assist in the orchestration and delivery of major global projects such as Enterprise Strategic Planning and the PepsiCo Growth Model.
- Respond swiftly to urgent requests from the Executive Committee, Strategy Leadership, and cross-functional partners.
- Provide strategic insights and partnership to corporate leadership and senior executives on various critical business matters.
- Maintain awareness of external trends including consumer preferences, competitor actions, and geopolitical and macroeconomic factors.
- Play an active role in enhancing the capabilities of the Global Strategy function through activities like recruiting, training, and managing knowledge.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; MBA is highly preferred.
- At least 5 years of strategic experience working with a top-tier management consulting firm and/or in the consumer packaged goods industry.
- A strategic thinker who can refine complex questions and develop robust analytical frameworks.
- Possess strong technical acumen to coach teams in processing large datasets accurately and efficiently.
- Proven experience in independently managing projects and leading teams.
- Highly developed emotional intelligence coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills aimed at educating and influencing senior stakeholders, including the ability to effectively manage upward.
- A passion for consumer packaged goods and familiarity with related brands.
- A global perspective with sensitivity to diverse social and cultural environments; foreign language skills are an advantage.
