Job description

About the role

Hopper is seeking a Strategy & Analytics Manager to take ownership of the analytical and operational systems that support its Travel Commercial organisation. This team manages hotel, home, and car inventory distributed to global partners. The role is highly hands-on and focused on building at the crossroads of data, process, and technology, while working closely with Product and Engineering and reporting to senior commercial leadership.

What you will do

  • Create, maintain, and improve the data models, dashboards, and reporting structures that give the commercial team dependable visibility across the entire funnel.
  • Use AI tools as a regular part of your analysis workflow to speed up insight generation, improve quality, and make room for higher-level problem solving.
  • Lead in-depth analyses to uncover trends, exceptions, and growth opportunities in commercial data, then turn those findings into practical recommendations.
  • Set and monitor KPIs that reflect both business results and the quality of the processes behind them, building a continuous improvement loop.
  • Prepare for and follow through on important internal meetings, strategy sessions, and cross-functional discussions so the right information is available and decisions turn into action.
  • Develop the analytical structure that supports quarterly planning, forecasting, and target setting, with outputs that commercial leaders can use directly.
  • Review, redesign, and improve core commercial workflows such as pipeline management, forecasting routines, and sales incentive plans to make them simpler, faster, and easier to scale.
  • Deliver process improvements end to end, including implementation, adoption, and measurement of impact.
  • Spot opportunities where AI can materially change commercial operations, then build and roll out those solutions.
  • Build a strong working knowledge of the commercial tech stack and identify points of friction, data loss, and missed opportunity.
  • Turn business problems into clear, actionable briefs for Product and Engineering, bringing enough technical understanding to contribute as a credible partner.

What we are looking for

  • At least 2 years of experience in data analytics, sales operations, strategy and operations, or a similar analytical/commercial function.
  • Strong SQL skills and practical experience with BI and data platforms such as Looker, Tableau, or BigQuery.
  • Experience creating data models, dashboards, process frameworks, and operational tools rather than only advising on them.
  • Sound commercial judgment combined with strong analytical ability, with comfort moving between strategic discussion and hands-on delivery.
  • Strong enthusiasm for AI and a habit of using it to improve personal productivity and work quality, with interest in applying it to commercial operations.
  • Experience working across Product and/or Engineering teams, with enough technical fluency to contribute meaningfully in those discussions.
  • A first-principles mindset that questions assumptions, tests processes, and keeps asking why things work the way they do.
  • A strong bias toward action, ownership, and the ability to perform well in fast-moving, uncertain environments.

Perks and benefits

  • Join a well-funded, proven startup with ambitious growth plans, competitive compensation, and pre-IPO equity upside.
  • 100% employee premium coverage for a group insurance plan through Vitality Health.
  • Automatic pension contributions through Smart Pension from day one.
  • Very generous parental leave, well above typical industry standards.
  • Access to on-demand co-working space through FlexDesk, plus a work-from-home stipend.
  • Carrot Cash travel stipend.
  • Unlimited paid time off.
  • An entrepreneurial culture that encourages pushing boundaries and taking risks.
  • Open communication with management and company leaders.
  • Small, dynamic teams with the opportunity to make a large impact.
