Role overview
This is an opportunity to join a long-established business group at a significant point of expansion, driven by both organic growth and acquisition activity. The Strategic Director will partner closely with the CEO to help deliver the company’s commercial agenda.
What the role involves
- Providing strategic direction so that all businesses within the group stay aligned with overall company objectives.
- Working across consumer and business divisions to support the achievement of financial targets through effective commercial planning.
- Reviewing operations to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
- Identifying opportunities for collaboration between different divisions and teams.
- Taking ownership of budgeting and forecasting with accuracy.
- Supporting and mentoring more junior managers.

The company has supported the construction sector for many years and is currently undertaking a change programme designed to strengthen its future growth and long-term position in the market.
Compensation and location
The package includes a base salary of €120,000 plus an outstanding overall package. The position is based in Cork City and requires working on site.
Candidate profile
Applicants should bring experience leading large teams through periods of change, delivering against commercial objectives, and contributing at a strategic level within a construction-related environment. A relevant third-level degree or master’s qualification is also required.
