Job description
Overview
This role pioneers a transformative approach to enterprise renewals by partnering closely with AI to optimize processes and focus human expertise where it matters most. As a Strategic Account Manager at Trilogy, you will oversee top-tier customer accounts, using your executive acumen to manage complex renewals while collaborating with Fiona, our AI-powered renewals agent. This position emphasizes high-level commercial strategy and negotiations, steering clear of routine administrative tasks, and aims to enhance continuous AI learning and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead executive interactions and negotiate high-value, multi-year enterprise renewals including seven-figure contracts.
- Work alongside Fiona, the AI renewals assistant, to improve its capabilities by providing critical customer insights.
- Analyze customer health data, product engagement, commercial records, and risk exposure to proactively steer renewal success.
- Utilize Salesforce and AI-driven workflows to maintain accurate forecasts, detect potential renewal risks early, and prioritize engagements where human judgment adds the most value.
- Translate customer feedback and interaction insights into scalable system improvements that progressively increase renewals efficiency.
Responsibilities Not Included
- Managing manual renewal paperwork, approval processes, or routine administrative duties.
- Handling high-volume small or medium-sized business renewals or transactional renewals.
- Engaging in new customer acquisition or commission-based sales goals.
- Developing production software or AI models.
- Overseeing large renewals teams rather than focusing on strategic, high-impact client relationships.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience managing enterprise renewal portfolios with customers contributing at least $100,000 in annual recurring revenue.
- Documented track record of meeting or exceeding quarterly retention or Net Revenue Retention targets, achieving 90% NRR or higher consistently.
- Personal leadership in negotiating complex multi-year enterprise renewals valued at $1 million or above.
- Hands-on experience with AI-enabled tools in enterprise renewals, customer success, or sales operations.
- Strong proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms, including usage in forecasting, risk tracking, and pipeline management.
- Exceptional executive communication skills, commercial negotiation acumen, and relationship management capabilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a global, fully remote environment.
Additional Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with refining AI workflows, prompts, or business logic driven by customer interaction data.
- Background in enterprise SaaS, cloud platforms, or subscription-based technology industries.
- Expertise in synthesizing diverse data sources like contracts, customer health metrics, support conversations, and product usage to inform renewal strategies.
- Strong systems thinking with proven contributions to automating and enhancing repeatable commercial operations.
