Job description
Position Overview
This role involves supporting sales associates by managing cashier services and assisting with various customer transactions within a retail environment focused on luxury products.
Main Duties
- Provide cashiering assistance to sales associates to enhance customer service delivery.
- Process payment transactions, including cash, credit cards, and other payment methods, adhering strictly to compliance and accuracy standards.
- Manage transactional processes such as returns, exchanges, refunds, and GST tax refunds following company policies and procedures.
- Ensure daily transaction reconciliation, verifying cash and balance amounts at shift start and end, maintaining adequate cash flow.
- Accurately enter transaction and client data into the system and generate invoices.
- Assist with generating daily cashier reports.
- Support general store operations, including gift wrapping and miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
- Foster a collaborative team environment by working closely with store personnel.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least three years of cashier experience in luxury retail or retail sectors.
- Proficient in using cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
- Strong numerical aptitude with high attention to detail and integrity in handling payments.
- Commitment to compliance and trustworthiness.
- Neat personal appearance coupled with strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Competent with personal computers, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and typing abilities.
- Availability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
