Position Overview

The role of Stockperson / Cartpusher is vital in ensuring a safe, orderly, and inviting shopping environment for customers. This position involves collecting and returning shopping carts from various locations around the store while following approved procedures and maintaining safety standards. The role also supports store functions through friendly customer service and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and return shopping carts from cart corrals, parking lots, and store perimeters to designated storage zones using approved methods, ensuring accurate completion of related logs.
• Promptly assist store cash registers and customer service with requests, including helping customers carry items and verifying receipts when necessary.
• Conduct cleaning and maintenance tasks such as restroom upkeep while adhering to safety protocols regarding chemical handling and equipment use.
• Adhere strictly to safety and emergency procedures including hazardous communication, lockout/tagout, and bloodborne pathogen guidelines to maintain a secure environment.
• Wear required personal protective equipment like steel-toe footwear and reflective vests; perform safety inspections and support a hazard-free workplace.
• Be flexible in work schedule availability, including willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.

Challenges of the Role

• Managing high volume tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, overnight environment while maintaining focus and energy.
• Performing physically demanding activities such as standing for long periods, bending, lifting items up to 50 lbs, and repetitive stocking and organizing to standard.

Compensation
