About Wynn Al Marjan Island
Wynn Al Marjan Island, set to open in the United Arab Emirates in 2027, is designed as a luxurious and engaging beachfront destination for sophisticated guests seeking leisure and entertainment. Situated less than 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport, this integrated resort will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 dining venues and lounges, a theater, a nightclub, and a five-star spa. The resort is currently under construction on a scenic island that extends gracefully into the Arabian Gulf.
About The Position
Wynn Al Marjan Island is actively recruiting a Steward to become part of the resort’s Wynn Oasis team.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the proper cleaning and storage of crockery, pots, and glassware.
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment and work areas, including ovens, stovetops, floors, and ceilings.
- Properly use, handle, and store cleaning chemicals.
- Manage the removal and disposal of kitchen waste.
- Execute tasks as directed by the Steward Team Leader and Supervisor.
- Engage professionally and positively with colleagues, management, and external contractors across departments and the company.
- Participate in departmental and interdepartmental meetings, sharing pertinent information.
- Foster positive working relationships, promote team cohesion, and ensure effective communication across diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures, and comply with the established Code of Conduct.
- Maintain impeccable personal presentation, including good manners, grooming, and hygiene, in line with departmental and company standards.
- Uphold health and safety standards, actively seeking continuous improvement to prevent workplace hazards and injuries.
- Contribute to the company's recycling initiatives, maintaining strict discipline to reduce, reuse, and recycle materials effectively.
About You
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A minimum educational qualification of secondary school completion; further academic achievements are advantageous.
- Candidates must be at least 21 years old due to gaming operations and regulatory requirements.
- While no prior experience is mandatory, a minimum of 1 year of experience within a 5-star hotel or integrated resort setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the correct usage, handling, and storage of cleaning chemicals.
- A positive demeanor and a strong commitment to work ethic.
- Physical fitness enabling the performance of tasks such as cleaning high areas, operating large equipment, and handling heavy items.
- Proficiency in interpersonal communication.
- A collaborative spirit, capable of responding swiftly to demands and thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
- Flexibility in work schedules, with the ability to adapt to shift work based on operational needs.
- Essential fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
