Job description
Role overview
This is a full-time, on-site housekeeping position with a private royal household in the United Arab Emirates. The role focuses on keeping the residence immaculate, orderly, and hygienic at all times.
Key duties
You will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and shared spaces. Typical work includes dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, polishing surfaces, making beds, and caring for wardrobes.
The position also covers laundry care such as washing, ironing, and handling clothes and linens, along with serving meals and refreshments when needed. You may also be expected to organize pantry items, keep cleaning supplies stocked, and take care of delicate fabrics, luxury finishes, and high-value furnishings with extra care.
Working style and conduct
The housemaid must work within household routines and follow established instructions and standards. The job requires professionalism, confidentiality, respect for privacy, and the ability to adapt to shifting schedules and special occasions. Cooperation with other household staff is also an important part of the role.
Qualifications
Applicants should have strong housekeeping abilities, including cleaning, organizing, laundry, ironing, and wardrobe maintenance. Experience in premium residences is preferred, especially where attention is needed for fine materials and luxury interiors.
Candidates should be comfortable using cleaning tools and products safely, follow procedures carefully, and manage time well. The role suits someone dependable who can work independently or as part of a team, communicate in basic English, and remain discreet in a private family setting.
Previous domestic or hospitality experience is preferred, and references from former employers are an advantage.
Additional information
The work is physically active and may involve standing for long periods and lifting light to moderate items as required. Additional languages commonly used in the UAE are considered helpful.
