About the Role

This position is part of the Food and Beverage & Culinary team at EDITION in Al Bateen Marina, Abu Dhabi. It is a full-time, non-management role that focuses on keeping kitchen and back-of-house areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

What You’ll Do

• Run and look after cleaning equipment and tools, including dishwashing machines, hand-wash stations, pot-scrubbing areas, and the trash compactor.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen, storage, and service spaces, along with tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Accept deliveries, store perishable items correctly, and rotate stock to maintain freshness.
• Place clean dishware in the proper storage locations.
• Use detergent, rinsing agents, and sanitizing chemicals in a three-compartment sink to wash dishes.
• Check cleaned items, stack them properly, and return anything that needs to be washed again.
• Spray and rack items with hot water to remove leftover food.
• Sort, soak, and rewash silverware as needed.
• Break down dirty bus tubs, empty trash cans, maintain dumpster areas, and handle waste disposal properly.
• Mop assigned areas and separate glass and cardboard for recycling.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and security rules, while reporting hazards, injuries, accidents, and maintenance concerns.
• Support team coordination, communicate professionally, maintain quality standards, and complete required safety training.
• Carry out other duties assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

• No high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• No prior work experience is needed.
• No supervisory background is required.
• No license or certification is needed.
• Ability to lift, move, push, pull, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Comfort with standing, sitting, or walking for long periods.
• Ability to bend, twist, reach overhead, stoop, and work below the knees as needed.
• Clear and professional communication skills.
• Willingness to work collaboratively and support shared goals.
