Job description
Role Overview
This full-time kitchen stewarding role is based in Abu Dhabi at a luxury hospitality property. The position sits within the food and beverage and culinary function and is non-management in nature.
What You’ll Do
- Run and care for cleaning tools and equipment used in the kitchen, such as dishwashers, hand-wash stations, pot-scrubbing areas, and the trash compactor.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen spaces, storage rooms, tables, utensils, knives, and other equipment.
- Accept deliveries, store food items safely, and manage stock rotation to reduce spoilage.
- Make sure clean dishes and equipment are kept in the correct storage locations.
- Use detergent, rinse agents, and sanitizing chemicals in the three-compartment sink to wash dishware properly.
- Check cleaned items, stack them neatly, and return anything that needs further washing or scrubbing.
- Spray and rack items with hot water to remove stuck-on food residue.
- Sort, soak, and rewash silverware as needed.
- Break down dirty bus tubs, empty trash bins, maintain dumpster areas, and manage waste disposal.
- Clean and mop assigned work areas, including proper disposal of glass and recycling materials.

- Follow all company policies, safety rules, and security procedures.
- Report maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Protect company property and assets.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and supervisors.
- Build positive working relationships and help the team achieve shared goals.
- Maintain the company’s quality and service standards.
- Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Be prepared to stand, sit, or walk for long periods and to bend, twist, reach overhead, stoop, and perform similar physical movements.
- Carry out other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors.
